【摘要】 《中国古代绘画技法、材料、工具史纲》，系业师陈绥祥先生选定题目，命为博士学位论文，承三年来悉心督导，遂成本篇。全文计约一十五万余言。 本文所述，始于史前，终于清末，依通史常例，序为十章，各章分述绘画技法与材料工具的发展状况，并于行文中兼顾二者关系。技法所述，以章法、笔法、墨法为要点，兼及画法步骤、技法著述。材料、工具方面，述其材质、工艺、性能、品相，并略记名工和著述。文中所及绘画种类，包括壁画、帛画、卷轴画、年画等，惟版画因技法、材料、工具与其它画种区别较大，故尚未论列。 诸端史迹，寻其大要，可知中国古代绘画技法的历史，实际是从“无法”到“有法”，再到“无法而法”的演变过程。同时，画工画、作家画、文人画的分野，技法又各自遵循一定的发展规则。工具、材料的历史，是由简单到精致，由完全实用，逐渐上升到更多的品格要求。总之，中国古代绘画技法与材料、工具的演变，各有所本，又互为动因，形成五千年发展史。更多还原
【Abstract】 “Essentials of Chinese ancient painting technology, materials and tools history”the title of my doctoral dissertation) was prescribed by Mr. Chen shouxiang who has gaven me so elabrate guidance that I could complete this thesis smoothly during these three years. The whole thesis amount to 150,000 words. From prehistoric to Qing Dynasty, the thesis is divided into 10 chapters by the principles of comprehensive history, each chapter nan-ate the development of painting technology, materials and tools, also give consideration to their relations. In telling the history of painting technology, the thesis focus on methodicalness, technique of writing, together with the steps of drawing. The parties concers materials and tools nm-rate quality, technology, property literaly style, also simply account some famous craftsman and works. Several kinds of paintings are included in the thesis such as mural, ohua thaditional Chinese painting, NewYear pictures except wood cut, because its technology, materials, tools are so different with others. We found a developing procession that means from to then to From the history of Chinese painting technology, materials and tools ,the skill of uagonghua enrerihua uojiahua is abided by each developed rules. The history of tools, materials tends from simple to elegant, from practical to more artistic style requinnent.
